"This is a YA read, but adults will also enjoy and learn from this fast-paced book. I started it with every intention of reading a few chapters before bed. Five hours later I had devoured the entire book. The characters are beautifully flawed and I found myself cheering for them when they couldn’t cheer for themselves. There are some hard, but real, issues addressed in this book. I appreciate that Beckie Lindsey addresses topics that are often ignored and spotlights the reality that there is more going on that what we may ever see with our eyes. This is a great read for teens who are fighting their own battles, as well as adults who would like insight into the struggles of today’s teens and young adults face."

5 REASONS I'M PATRIOTIC—AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO
Let me start with an admission: My view might be a bit biased. For you see, both sides of my family include veterans who've served this country. My oldest son followed in the footsteps of my father and is currently serving in the United States Air Force. Two years...

“A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE.” I bet you remember this iconic slogan created by an advertising agency more than four decades ago to promote the United Negro College Fund scholarship program. I bring this up to make two points: our minds are like sponges and...
