It is NOT our anniversary. It’s just an ordinary day.
But that’s precisely why I am posting this.

Scott and I have learned—it’s in the mundane and ordinary where the extraordinary takes place.

It’s in the little things: the weekend chores, the silliest jokes, the squeeze of a hand, the driving kids to school, and watching your favorite show together. We have been through a lot in 34 years—blessings and difficulties.
Whenever people ask us, “what’s the secret?” We tell them the truth: JESUS IS THE GLUE that holds us together.

You see, when we seek to grow in Christ and model His ways, the natural byproduct is putting others first.

If both the husband and wife aspire to put the other first, the outcome is extraordinary. Easy? No. Worth it? Oh, yeah! ❤️✝️

Friends, it’s in the little things of life where our true character is revealed.

When we think of the ministry of Jesus Christ, we often think of His miracles. But you know what?

Jesus was all about the little things and the least of these, too. And he expects the same from His followers.

Sometimes we make more of an impact for Christ by just being kind to someone who is not kind to us, or giving a hug, or a smile, or opening the door for a stranger.
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”
Luke 16:10

Do you want to grow stronger in your faith? Keep doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Who knows, those little things may turn into something far greater than you could have ever imagined or hoped for. That’s how our God is. He sees what is done in secret, whether good or bad. He rewards us according to what we do in this life.
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Galatians 6:9
Ah, yes. It’s in the little things!
