A Warfare Prayer for Unsaved Loved Ones During the Holidays https://beckielindsey.com/2018/12/20/a-warfare-prayer-for-unsaved-loved-ones-during-the-holidays/
The holiday season brings an opportunity to visit friends and loved ones we may not have seen in a while. It is also an opportunity to shine the light of Christ’s love.

This time of the year more than any other, people are usually more open to the Good News.

However, our enemy, Satan will work to thwart our efforts to represent Christ well. This is why our prayers are critical.  m
Let me tell you something. I don’t think we take this prayer thing seriously enough. I also think many don’t understand how to pray for an unsaved loved one.
But what we really haven’t understood is this:
“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4
Once we realize the devil (not our loved one) is the real problem, our first prayer step becomes clear.

You must get the devil out of your loved one’s way.

Jesus came to restore things on earth to God’s plan. He said, “I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not prevail.” (Matthew 16:18) When Jesus said the word “build” he was not referring to a structure. He used the Greek word oikos which means “family.”

So, when Jesus chose that word, he was basically saying, “I’ve come to take my family back!”

Jesus came to reverse the fall of man as recorded in Genesis. He came to redeem the lost!
Satan is well-aware of God’s plan of redemption so he works to keep the unsaved blind. He infiltrates the lives of humans subtly in the same way he tricked Eve in the Garden.
As Jesus said, “How can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?” (Matthew 12:29). You can’t! So bind him.
My dear fellow believers, we must pray with boldness, confidence, and consistency for our loved ones BEFORE we see them this holiday season. We also must first bind the “strong man” in this way:

“You spirit operating in __________ ‘s life, blinding _________to the gospel, and out of the Kingdom of God, I bind you. I belong to Jesus of Nazareth and I carry His authority. In the powerful name of Jesus, I command you to cease in your schemes and maneuvers. I break the power of Satan and his assignments and activities in ____________’s life

I bind the strong man and command every demon to stand down and loose _________’s mind and will so _________can hear the Word of God and make a decision to receive the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I intercede for _____________. Your Word says you desire all to be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth, so I bring ________ before You this day.

I pray the spirits of adoption, salvation, repentance, and fear of the Lord over ___________. Release the kindness of God that leads to repentance.

Father, I pray You will surround ___________ with Christians that walk closely with You, demonstrating what it looks like to live a surrendered life.

Lord, I ask that You fill ___________ with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  I am confident that Your word is alert and active. Your Word will not return to You void. It will accomplish Your good purposes. Because of this, I thank you in advance for what you are doing and will do in ____________ life.

In the name of Jesus—the name above all names—AMEN!”

I encourage you to partner with another believer and pray this prayer aloud together.

It would be my honor and privilege to join you in prayer for your loved one. Please let me know in the comments below.
“I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” Matthew 18:19
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
