Lately, I’ve seen several pictures and posts on Facebook about decorating one’s table for Easter. As I looked at the beautiful pictures of the creative tablescapes, I found myself longing to have a gathering where everyone I love is together. This is impossible because I have friends and family scattered across this country and a few abroad, and others have gone to be with the Lord. Nonetheless, my heart longed.

And then …

The Father spoke to me in my spirit, “Oh, my child. I’m preparing a table for you where you will sit with me, your mother, Grandparents, friends, and all of my faithful children. It will be the most wonderful of gatherings. A celebration of the victory of the Lamb!”

On this mountain, the Lord Almighty will prepare
a feast of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine—
the best of meats and the finest of wines. Isaiah 25:6

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2 NIV

I could almost see it in my mind’s eye! I was overwhelmed. The tiny hairs on my arm rose as I pictured the banquet wedding feast of the Lamb. Close your eyes and try to imagine sitting at the Lord’s table in Heaven. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

Beautiful, isn’t it?

The Lord had more to say, “But for now, daughter, you must strap on your armor and clothe yourself with my righteousness and love. You have a job to do. For you see, there are many others that need to hear the Good News about the place I am preparing for them. I don’t want anyone to miss out. I don’t want anyone to perish. They need you to tell them about it. They need you to pray. They need you to show compassion. They need to hear your story.”

Who do you know that needs to hear God’s message of hope found through His son Jesus?

Is someone coming to mind? Stop right now and say a prayer. Ask God to enable you to speak love to them.

When I told my oldest son, Kevin about my experience he said to me, “Mom, you stepped out of the box that we often live in, forgetting that we were made for more.”

Indeed! Dear ones, we were made for more. Let’s step out of the box!

I think we get so caught up in life on earth that we forget we GET to go to Heaven—our real home!

So, roll up your sleeves and get busy. Time is running out. We have been entrusted with the greatest message ever known to humankind: JESUS.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
