Did you know some studies show that laughter gives the body a “mini aerobic workout?”
It causes the heart to beat faster, sending larger amounts of blood around the body.
The act of laughing can even help the skin, by using up to 15 facial muscles, helping to give the face a work out.
According to Dr Helen Pilcher, a neuroscientist who also works as a comedian,  an hour of laughter can burn as much as 100 calories.
That’s like half a Christmas cookie (maybe)! I’m all for that.
Laughing can also bolster the immune system, aiding the body to fight off infections like coughs and colds flying around at this time of year.
Finally, laughter has been found to be a great stress reducer.
I don’t know about you, but I’m in dire need of some stress and fat reduction at this ‘festive’ time of the year.
DEAR READER: I HAVE A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR YOU.
Please enjoy this hilarious video by Christian comedian, Tim Hawkins:

Now that you’ve had a good belly laugh and burned a few calories, go eat a cookie! Just kidding! No, actually I’d like you to allow this one fact to resonate:

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

I hope that puts a smile on your face for the rest of the day.
Blessings on you and yours this holiday season.
